The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games came out almost a year ago. They got a lot of good reviews, but they also had some problems. As Pokemon fans wait for new games to come out in the next two years, their attention has turned to what the next version of games might be like.
It had never been done before in a Pokémon game, but Scarlet and Violet were incredibly ambitious. However, they came out with a lot of technology and design problems that Game Freak has yet to fix. There were sure to be problems with a first-generation product like an open-world Pokémon game. But how could these problems be fixed or made better in Generation Ten? These are the ten most important changes that Generation Ten needs to see.
Level Scaling
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet completely changed the way Pokemon games have been played in the past. They made the games bigger by adding huge open worlds with lots of wandering Pokemon. This made it much easier for players to make their teams stronger. What’s the matter? Since those Pokemon didn’t have level scaling, they were often way too low level when players got to them.
Those levels could go up or down depending on Gym Badges, the average Pokemon level in the party, and the Pokemon that is in charge. It would greatly enhance the chances of training Pokemon and make exploring much more attractive.
The Ability To Do Gyms In Any Order
The Gym Challenge can be done by Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players in any order they want. You could walk from one end of the map to the other and fight the last gym first. It’s not good because there isn’t any level progression between gyms, making the last one hard to beat. In the same way, the first gym is unbelievably simple if players have already finished even one other gym.
Because the world of new Pokémon games is open, it’s possible to miss gyms completely. Gyms that changed based on the player’s level would make the new Pokémon experience even more free.
Performance Upgrades
When Pokemon Scarlet and Violet came out, they were in an extremely bad state. Since games are getting bigger and better all the time, it would be bad for Game Freak to let Pokémon come out in such an obviously bad state. Poor quality models, low frame rates, and pop-in were some of the performance problems that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had.
Nintendo needs to make Generation Ten better before it comes out if they want it to be a major game in the series. Making the game better, even if it means delaying the release date, would be better than letting their big brand come out in such bad shape as Scarlet and Violet.
Improve The Autobattling Feature
The auto-battle tool was one of the more creative additions to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It let the player level up their Pokemon without having to fight them, which would take a lot of time. What was really wrong with this was that Pokemon that were sent out to autobattle would miss their target or not attack other Pokemon.
If this feature was made better, like by making the Pokemon that is sent out more exact or by letting them hold berries to heal, autobattling could be one of the best things about Generation Ten instead of just a joke.
Shorter Tutorial Area
People have long said that the Tutorial area is too long in Pokémon. Fans of the games, especially those who have played Pokémon X and Y, have often found the training zones to be too long. It’s time to trust Pokemon fans a little more now that the tenth generation is almost here.
In future Pokémon games, you should be able to skip over the tutorial parts. This feature makes games a lot more fun to play again and again. For Pokemon fans, there’s nothing worse than having to button-mash through a huge amount of conversation to get to the part they love.
Glitch Patching
There were a lot of technology problems with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Once players saw how badly the game was running, they were shown a whole new set of problems that these glitches caused. Some of the biggest problems players would have to deal with were Pokemon that did not show up and going through buildings.
Bugs shouldn’t be the only thing that makes games hard in the Tenth Generation. Teams at Game Freak have almost unlimited resources, so there’s really no reason for bugs in new games that make them impossible to play.
A Way To Turn The EXP Share Off
It has never been said that Pokemon is the hardest game, but with the arrival of the EXP Share in Generation Six, this idea became even stronger. If players could turn off the EXP share, more experienced players could make Breakout Game harder, and newer players would have another choice for how hard to play.
If players could turn off the EXP share, they would be able to be more daring when they battle and catch Pokemon because they would be much less likely to get too high in levels.
The Return Of Challenge Mode
A challenge mode was added to Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 and is one of the most unique features of any Pokémon game. When players beat the winner of the Unova region, this mode became available. It made the game much harder. Adding this mode would be another way to get people to play through the newest Pokémon games again.
If you added another difficulty setting, Generation Ten would be the hardest yet, which would bring back players who left the franchise because the earlier games were too easy.
An Improved Minimap
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the minimap wasn’t very useful because it didn’t show many useful items. As you play the next games, the minimap can help you figure out how far away waypoints are, find nearby Pokemon and trainers, and see where Terra Raid Battles are happening.
A better plan could make the newest open-world games easier for players who don’t like to explore on their own, which would let more people play them. A better map would also improve the experience of more experienced players or those who want to achieve multiple goals at once.
